hernia

Hernia protrusion of an organ or body cavity wall via the fascia, which usually contains. Hiatal hernia occurs when the stomach is given in the mediastinum through the esophageal opening in the membrane.

The development of today's most common hernia in the groin, where the vulnerability lies in the abdominal wall in a localized hole, or "defect", through which adipose tissue or abdominal organs with the peritoneum, the developed project. Another common hernia involves the intervertebral discs and leads to sciatica.

Hernias can not exist, or pain at the site, visible or palpable nodes, and in some cases by more vague symptoms resulting from pressure on the body that is "stuck" in the hernia, sometimes leading to multiple organ failure. Fatty tissue is usually the first hernia, but it can be followed, or accompanied by organ.

monst of the time, hernias develop when pressure in the cell body increases the residence and the boundary of a weak or weakened.

Weaken the membranes or congenital muscle in the rules (which explains, to start the trend of hernias in the family), and increases with age (eg, degeneration of the fibrous ring of intervertebral disk), but it may be based on other diseases such as syndrome Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Marfan syndrome or, muscle strain during pregnancy, weight loss in obese people, etc., or because of scarring from previous surgeries.

Many diseases are chronically elevated intra-abdominal pressure (pregnancy, ascites, COPD, dyschezia, benign prostatic hyperplasia) and thereby abdominal hernias are very common. Increased intracranial pressure may cause parts of the brain through the narrowed part of the cranial cavity through the foramen magnum, or a hernia. Increased pressure on the intervertebral discs, such as heavy lifting or lifting with improper technique of production increases, the risk of rupture.
